Many people are like ostriches when it comes to testing their ideas.. They would rather bury their heads in the sand and hope for the best than find out that they are on the wrong track..

But it is easy to learn what your customers want by tracking what they do at your website.. With this valuable information, you can easily maximize your profits by adjusting your website to reflect your market's interests and needs. Isn't it better to love a handful of sales during this testing process than lose thousands of sales by not fine-tuning your website?

It is the process of testing, evaluating, tweaking, and re-testing that will ultimately earn you the big money. Don't ever forget this.

When trying to increase the response to your website, you want to test three main things:

  1. The headline or opening sentence - this is the first impact you have on a potential customer.
  2. Your Offer - test your angle and the benefits that you emphasize to make your offer as appealing as possible.
  3. Your Price - if your price is too low, some people will think that your product is of poor quality... if it is too high, some will not be able to afford it, or the high price will out weight the benefits.

Be careful that you only change one thing at a time when testing your website,.. You need to be able to measure your results accurately if you want to increase sales..

And remember that there is no such thing as an "unsuccessful test". You can learn from every test if you approach it correctly. Every "failed test" brings you one step closer to the winning formula.. a top-selling website! you will always learn something from a test!

I really like this post Khalid - full of content extolling the virtues of one of the most important aspects of any business, online or offline. TESTING - collect the important data and test, test, test until you get the result you are after.
