Education Never Ends

Share

Leaders are learners. A leader's education never ends with the graduation ceremony. It lasts throughout his or her life. Outstanding leaders are always looking for ways to fill in the gaps in their understanding. They are constantly learning on two different levels: knowledge and skill.

Leaders have a never-quenched thirst for knowledge. They read and ask questions. They study problems, watch others, and think. A leader understands that the mind is the most effective leadership tool, and he or she sharpens it constantly.

Also, leaders are constantly in training as skillful as they may be, they constantly tone and train. They seek a racer's edge in their field of endeavor. They practice with the discipline of athlete. They read the manuals and do the roadwork. They seek the counsel of great coaches – coaches with keen insight who will provide instruction to hone their skills without discouraging them.

Who you know really is important. But what you know is the link that ties you to the person.

"If you stop learning today, you stop leading tomorrow."

Salam Dear Khalid,

I do agree with you with every word you just mentioned in your article above, and I would like to add that a true leader is the one you know through a situation not through his certificates, I met in history many leaders that they have changed the world without any certificates or training they did not even know that they were leaders.

I believe that inside each one of us there is a strong leader who needs a great situation to let him come up and do great things.

Thank you for your leadership , I wish you all the best in your journey Enjoy:)

Moneera:
I'm sure you will do great in leading if you use and apply what you learn..

ShooSh:
I totally agree to what you shared... Those keys must be used right to insure a fulfilled life and opend unlocked door that most of people face nowadays..

Rod:
If we stop learning, then we won't get to the edge... As famous saying: "If you not growing, the you're vanishing." No one wants to be left behind...

Maha:
Great! So, this post was a wakeup alarm for many people... Plus, confirming your thoughts about building your knowledge and skills... I am so excited to know that :)

Moodhi:
Situation! What if you don't face a situation? Would you spend the rest of life waiting for it to unleash your leadership and strong leaders within you!

Saad:
Today, just small percent of people work so hard to get the knowledge and skills... do you know why? To have unlimited power, you must enrich yourself with knowledge + skills... Others will spend more time eating, waiting, hopping and wishing to be successful in life... unfortunately, they won't get it..

Leaders are learners this is 100% correct statement . You should learn even from child how they are creative, from your colleagues how they react. We should empower ourselves with knowlege and skills.

Ghadeir: I strongly agree to what you just shared. It is a continuous process, leaders have to build and grow their knowledge and skills.. Otherwise, they will be left behind.. In addition, we must have ongoing internal motivation power..
